Outside of pay and equity, we also offer several other benefits to our team. We want to support you when it comes to things that help you do your job better, and we strive to be in line with the market for well-funded startups for everything else.

Time off

Everyone in the team has unlimited time off. This comes with a commitment to coordinate with your team to ensure all deliverables remain on track during your time away. Please see the Time Off section for more details.

Equipment

We offer up to a $2,500 one-time budget to get you set up with what you need to be successful, such as a laptop, monitor, docking station, keyboard, mouse, or headphones.

We don’t spend money just to spend money, but if you need a new chair or a standing desk, we also provide a one-time budget of up to $500 per new staff member to put towards doing their best work with a comfortable setup.

Country-specific benefits

With the global distribution of our team, we do our best to provide the same resources to everyone, but these vary slightly by country depending on the services that are available and local regulations.

United States

Retirement plan — In the US, we plan to offer a 401k plan in mid 2026. We don’t currently provide a company match to employee contributions, but we will consider that as we grow.

Health care — We offer several medical plan options. Datum pays 100% of the premium for the base plan, with employees able to upgrade to higher-tier plans at their own cost.

One of the options is a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) which will qualify you for a Health Savings Account (HSA) that has tax benefits. Unused HSA funds roll over year to year, making it a useful long-term savings vehicle for medical expenses.

Other countries

International contractors are responsible for their own benefits, including health insurance and retirement planning.
